Concise2 forced to retire from the Transat Jacques Vabre 2011

Having taken the lead in the 2011 Transat Jacques Vabre, Concise2 has unfortunately had to inform race control that they have retired due to hull damage.

Speaking from Concise 2, Ned Collier Wakefield said he was unsure as to the cause of the damage but it could have been due to some form of impact.

He went on to say: "We are both hugely disappointed as we were looking forward to some better weather. We are now heading downwind to seek refuge in the Azores."

We will bring you more updates as soon as we have them.
